Amy Johnson (and James Tanner) has a very good post on the new announcement regarding the Microfilms we order from Salt Lake City. The bad new is that after August 31, 2017 the films can no longer be ordered through the old system of requesting copies. The good thing is that more than half of the 2.4 rolls of Microfilm in the Granite Vaults, in the mountains in Utah, have been digitized and placed on Family Search for our use. Why did they stop now before the rolls will be done in about three years? How will this impact researchers.
