This sight was a developed by the BYU technology engineers to interface with Family Search. Relative Finder originated through a group of students in the same department.
There is a video on the home page of the website that explains how to us it. I have only looked at it briefly but it looks fun and is also a new tool to find people, estimate where unknown family members are most from, etc. Think of it as a fan chart that takes everything to the next level.
