Piper and Hazie
Going back fifteen generations to the Mayflower
Going back fifteen generations to the Mayflower
The other night we had family night and I decided to teach a little lesson on our recently discovered Mayflower heritage. I Googled Mayflower~children's lesson. It brought up the absolute perfect lesson for the girls. Funny but they were all quite captivated by the story. Today I decided to interview Hazie and see what she remembered because she has been talking quite a bit about her "great-great-great-grandfadder."
Here is the Youtube video of my interview with her.

Here is a little addition that happened and really cracked us up. The day after the lesson, our friend and High Priest Group Leader, David Hopkins, stopped over around dinner time for a minute to discuss a matter of HPGL business with Jim. We were all sitting at the table and he came in for a minute to say hi to Jen and the girls. We chatted for a bit and then we adults all said, "Bye Dave!" Hazie, having never met a stranger, chimes in 'Bye Dave!" Jennifer then said quietly to her, "You call him "Brother Hopkins, please!" She immediately complied and as he walked out the door, Hazie leaned over towards her mom and inquisitively asked, "Was that my great great great great grandfadder?" It was hilarious and precious~her trademarks.
